The Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) is pleased to announce that the Stratford–Bruce Peninsula Employment Services Consortium has joined the IEP as a Capability Partner, reinforcing a shared commitment to strengthening employability practice, workforce capability and employment outcomes across Ontario.

Led by the County of Bruce, the Stratford–Bruce Peninsula Employment Services Consortium coordinates employability services across Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth counties, serving a regional population of more than 352,000 people. Working alongside six employment service providers, employers and community partners, the Consortium helps connect job seekers with opportunities while supporting businesses to build the skilled workforce they need. Through this new partnership, employment professionals across the Consortium’s network will have access to the IEP’s internationally recognised professional learning, supporting continued workforce development and helping to strengthen the quality and consistency of employment services throughout the region.
As the global professional body for employability professionals, the IEP works with organisations around the world to develop workforce capability, promote professional standards and equip employability professionals with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support people into sustainable employment.
Each year, the Consortium supports more than 3000 job seekers through its network, reflecting its ongoing commitment to collaboration, innovation and practical workforce solutions. Key priorities include strengthening employer engagement, making employability services more accessible, expanding apprenticeship and skilled trades pathways, advancing inclusive hiring practices and using local labour market intelligence to better align services with employer needs.
Over recent years, the Consortium has also worked to strengthen partnerships across workforce development, Ontario Works, economic development organisations and community partners, creating a more connected employment system that responds effectively to local labour market challenges.
Scott Parkin FIEP, Group Chief Executive of the Institute of Employability Professionals, said:
“We are delighted to welcome the Stratford–Bruce Peninsula Employment Services Consortium as a Capability Partner of the IEP. This partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to investing in people, strengthening professional practice and ensuring employability professionals have access to high-quality learning and development. We look forward to working together to support workforce capability and share best practice across the region.”
Jeff Loney, Director of Government Relations for the Stratford–Bruce Peninsula Employment Services Consortium, said:
“Strong communities are built through strong partnerships. By bringing employers, service providers and community partners together, and by investing in the professional development of those delivering employability services, we’re creating practical workforce solutions that help businesses grow while opening doors for more people to find meaningful work.”
The partnership represents a shared commitment to strengthening employability practice through collaboration, professional learning and the sharing of international best practice, helping employability professionals continue to make a positive difference for employers, job seekers and communities across Ontario.
