The Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) is pleased to announce that Collège Boréal has joined the IEP as a Capability Partner, marking an important step in strengthening professional learning and workforce development across employment services in Canada.
The partnership will support the ongoing development and professional capacity of employment service providers across Collège Boréal’s network through access to IEP learning and professional development opportunities delivered in both English and French. This approach strengthens bilingual service capacity and access for francophone communities across Ontario.
As a Service System Manager supporting Ontario’s francophone communities, Collège Boréal plays a significant leadership role in overseeing and strengthening employment services across the region. The organisation is committed to ensuring accessible, high-quality support for French-speaking job seekers and communities, while continuing to invest in workforce capability and service excellence.
The initial rollout will focus on the Award in Employability Essentials, with learners able to access the programme bilingually through the IEP Learning Academy. The partnership has been supported through provincial and federal funding aimed at strengthening workforce capacity and improving access to services for francophone job seekers.
The collaboration also creates opportunities for future growth and professional development across the network, with strong interest already identified in areas such as Motivational Interviewing and AI for Employability.
As the global professional body for employability professionals, the IEP works with organisations around the world to support workforce capability, strengthen professional standards, and help ensure the people supporting others into work are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to make a meaningful impact.
The partnership with Collège Boréal also includes Fellowship opportunities, supporting leadership development and professional recognition within the organisation and helping strengthen connections between Canadian employability leaders and the wider international IEP community.
Scott Parkin FIEP, Group Chief Executive of the Institute of Employability Professionals, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Collège Boréal as a Capability Partner of the IEP. This partnership represents an important step in supporting the professional development of employment practitioners across Canada and reflects a shared commitment to quality, accessibility, and workforce excellence. We are particularly proud to support bilingualdelivery and to work alongside Collège Boréal in strengthening support for francophone communities across Ontario.”
Jessica Lachance, Manager of Strategic and Community Initiatives at Collège Boréal said:
“We see this partnership as an opportunity to strengthen pathways to employment for job seekers by supporting the people who serve them. By investing in bilingual professional development and leadership capacity across the network, we are strengthening the employability system today and positioning it for the future.”
